ENGLAND’S FIRST CURLING
RINK OPENS
England’s first ever
indoor dedicated curling rink has opening for business. Situated in the Kent
Countryside near Tunbridge Wells, the converted barn houses three lanes of
curling ice and is called Fenton’s Rink. The long established Province of London Curling
Club hosted the first night of curling on Tuesday 9th
November and will be curling at Fenton’s Rink on Tuesday nights for the season.
The English Curling Association wishes Ernest Fenton a;; the best in this new
and exciting venture and it is hoped that future National and International
Events will be staged there. The first National Championships to use the new
venue will probably be the new National Mixed Championships in April with the
winners going through to the first European Mixed Championships in Andorra in November 2005.
